Main contractor ADCO Constructions engaged Ryan Civil Contracting for the external civil works package for this project. The project had numerous challenges the most predominant being accommodating access of local business, residents and construction vehicles for the internal portion of works while the external was being completed. Through a hands on management approach, Ryan Civil Contracting were able to successfully deliver a quality package to the stakeholders Ipswich City Council and Bunnings.
Project Summary
- 3,500m2 external road reconstruction to Ipswich City Council standards
- 4,000m3 of subgrade replacement
- 1,200m3 of spoil offsite
- 1,000m3 cut to fill
- Reconstruction of existing stormwater infrastructure and installation of new stormwater works
- 500m of kerbing and subsoil drainage
- Construction of new islands and reconstruction of existing traffic islands during night works
- Commercial and domestic concrete cross overs and footpaths, complying with local council requirements
- AC to Ipswich City Council requirements
- Line marking and street signage
